Kevin Eggan is Howard Hughes Medical Institute Early
Career Scientist and Associate Professor at the
Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology of
the Harvard University. His laboratory is pursuing two
interlocking areas of investigation: the basic biology of
stem cell programming and reprogramming, and the
application of the resulting technologies to studies of the
neuromuscular system and the diseases that affect it.
The in vitro models of neuromuscular diseases are
established for both mechanistic studies and for the
discovery of novel small molecule therapeutics.
