Prof Jakob Passweg is chair of hematology at the Basel University Hospital. He is particularly interested in studying outcome of patients receiving hematopoetic stem cell transplantation and in improving results of hematopoetic stem cell transplantation through immune intervention such as adoptive transfer of immune reactive cells. He has served in the past on the board of the European Group of Blood and Marrow Transplantation, is Co-Editor of the journal BMT and is currently President of the Swiss Cancer League.
