Stem cells in development and disease, 9-10 September 2014, Basel, Switzerland  

“Stem cells in development and disease” is the 1st international meeting organized by the Basel Stem Cell Network (BSCN). The meeting will provide a platform for stem cell molecular and cellular biologists and clinicians to present and discuss their latest results, interact and establish collaborations.

The meeting is back-to-back with the symposium “Cellular Memory, Reprogramming and Systems Biology”, to be held at the same venue on 8-9 September 2014. Please see here ( for separate registration.

The main topics of the meeting include but are not restricted to:

  • Animal Models of Stem Cell Biology
  • Programming and Reprogramming of Cell Fate
  • Mechanisms of Symmetric and Asymmetric Cell Division
  • Somatic Stem Cells
  • Stem Cells in Translation

The program includes keynote lectures, short oral presentations selected from the submitted abstracts, and poster sessions. Deadline for Abstract submission is August 11, 2014 (Monday). There is no deadline for registration, but admission will be on a first come, first served basis. The number of attendees will be limited to 270.

The conference is recognized as 1 day formation in animal experimentation in CH.
