Alexandar Tzankov is the Head of Histopathology and Autopsy at the Institute of Genetics and Pathology of the University Hospital Basel. His areas of interests are:

- Genetic profiling of Hodgkin- and Reed-Sternberg cells of classical Hodgkin lymphoma enriched from archival formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded tissue;

- Deep sequencing of nodal marginal zone B-cell lymphomas: diagnostic and theranostic perspectives;

- Tracing hematolymphoid tumor ancestry;

- Rapid translation of basic research findings to routine diagnostic applications.
